3M™ Press-On™ Prism and Aspheric Lens

3M™ Press-On™ Prisms are a valuable tool used to treat several ocular motility disorders, including strabismus.
The Press-On lenses are useful for some refractive corrections and you can use both types of optics for either temporary or long term corrections.

3M™ Press-On™ Prisms, also known as Fresnel Prisms, and Press-On Aspherics, provide a system for creating prismatic and spherical corrections is simple, inexpensive, and fast. Press-on prism material is flexible static vinyl which can easily be cut to shape with scissors to determine the acceptance of a proposed corrective prescription. Adheres well to existing lenses, yet it can be repositioned and easily.

You can apply a Press-On sphere or prism to the back surface of one or both lenses of the patient`s eyeglasses with just water. It can be applied to the entire lens or to any region of the lens. A full range of seventeen powers from 1.00 to 40.00 prism diopters allows you to broaden therapeutic uses and provides additional treatment options in your practice.

3M™ Press-On™ Aspheric Lens and D-Segs (bifocals lens)

For Rx Corrections.  May be used to adapt sunglasses to bifocals or swim goggles or dive masks for Rx correction.

Although similar to your glasses prescription, for use in the water requires a quick calculation to ensure that the proper strength is selected and post-swim headaches are avoided. Looking at your prescription, you'll want to locate the sphere and cylinder for each eye. Use the following formula to find the right diopter lens for you:    (1/2)(Cylinder) + Sphere = Diopter.  Water will refract light and correct vision a bit without any prescriptive power applied. With that in mind, always select a diopter strength that is one step lower than the outcome of your calculation or open file to use formula to determine the correct lens strength .

D-Seg Bifocal Lenses are great to use to alter sunglasses or in swim goggles & dive masks to add magnification to allow easy reading of gauges, watch or  camera.  Available to all, no Rx needed - call 1-800-544-4760 or go to www.myipatches.com
